We are pretty sure this will be a hit. We'll have our video equipment out and make a few videos to put on You Tube. I am sure you will ask what type of videos we will make?? We have no idea, so come with your ideas!

A staple of the summer and a favorite of many. For trips to Calaway, our LAAFS group and AAFS groups will hit the park together. Calaway is a great place for the older kids to spend some time as a mentor for our younger members. Everyone needs a good ride partner!

Activity Fee- $9 for Park admission (this is a better deal than any coupons out there)

$$ may be sent for lunch, treats, souveniers

Please inquire if you are interested in attending only for the day - families can either pick up youth interested in the day trip only, or a staff may be able to transport back to Calgary if enough youth are interested.

We will meet at the AAFS Office at 9.00 am on August 3rd, and pick-up will be at the AAFS Office at 5.00 pm on August 4th.

Some of our group is camping in Drumheller so those of us that
stayed in town will go see a movice. We will meet between Chapters and
the Theatre entrance at 11:00 am and head over to the theatre. There is

We will meet at our Clubhouse at 10:30 and head down to 17 ave to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the Calgary Fringe Festival. We will return to the AAFS office for a 3:30 pm pick up.

We will head to COP to try everything they have to offer and they have A LOT to offer in the summer.Euro-bungy, Climbing Wall, Indoor Luge and of course mini-golf.

The dog days of summer and we know not everyone can just be go, go, go. It's been an active summer so today we will just hang around the Barracks and take it easy.

Activities available will be Video and Board Games, Music Club, computer time, Outdoor sports, trip to Farmer's market and maybe a trip over to Westhills to see what Movies are playing.

We can also cook our own lunch today, send Jamie an email if you have an idea of what to cook for lunch.

We have had plenty of requests to go fishing somwhere other than the ranch so we'll head to the Sheep River south of Calgary to try our luck.

This will be a different day than fishing at the ranch, kids will be expected to be more independent with fishing than at the ranch.

We will meet at Chinook LRT at 9:00 am and head south to Okotoks, we will return to Chinook LRT at 4:00 pm. Please pack a bag lunch that can be eaten on shore.

Wing Night at Beckham's Pub (32 Ave across from McCall Lake Golf Course)

Ahhhh....Wednesday has always meant Wing Night and we just noticed they were no Wing nigths scheduled for the summer so we have just fixed that!

Beckhams Pub in on 32 ave is a great, comfortable place (not too mention that the Owner is a close friend of Dean's) and easy to get to from most corners of the city. We'll meet at Beckham's at 6:30 pm and pick-up will be at 9:00 pm.

A favorite part of every summer is our trip(s) out to Sylvan Lake and the waterslides. If you do not like waterslides, you can come and hang out at the beach.

Activity Fee- $20 for Transport, $25- Slide Admission

There are numerous optional items which you may send money for. Please advise when you drop your child off of any extra money sent. You may send money for lunch, slurpees, ice cream or beach souveneirs.

We will head to Edworthy Park and bike, walk and/or roll thru Edworthy Park. We'll stop at the Playgrounds, walk in the river and stop for Ice Cream at Angels.

We will meet at Bowness Park at 10:00 am - we meet at the end of the park loop (you will be driving around the loop starting to turn towards exiting the park. We will be on that bank. Call 403.875.0524 if you need anything).

Pick Up will be on the North side of Edworthy park at 3:30 pm.

The activity fee is $25

A bag lunch must be sent, there is no where to buy lunch on the river.
