Operating in a COVID World

The Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary is doing its best to keep members, staff, volunteers, and practicum students safe. Please join us in helping to protect our community!

At the recommendation of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, and the City of Calgary Bylaw 63M2021, we require all members, staff, volunteers, and practicum students to follow these policies and procedures:

MASKS: All people (regardless of vaccination) must wear a Health Canada approved mask inside the building or on arrival to program before meeting up with the AAFS group. Your facemask must cover your nose and mouth at all times and not be pulled down when speaking.
VACCINATION: AAFS maintains that for those who can, vaccinations are the best line of protection against the COVID-19 virus. We encourage those who can to get fully vaccinated.
DAILY HEALTH SCREENING: all members, staff, volunteers, and practicum students are required to complete a Daily Health Check every 24 hours. This helps us identify anyone who may be symptomatic or may have come into contact with a confirmed COVID case. We also use this tool to conduct contact tracing.
CLEANING: We encourage our members to be good citizens and assist our staff with sanitizing high traffic areas and touchpoints.

SANITIZER: We keep sanitizer on hand and on activity. Staff will encourage all members arriving on activity and through their time together to wash or sanitize hands.
SOCIAL DISTANCING Staff encourage members to maintain 6 feet of distance between one another. As you may appreciate, this can be a difficult task, however, we will encourage to space out when we can.
